Roots in Texas and a Commitment to Service
June Adams McCleveland was born in San Antonio, Texas, and relocated to Dallas in 1999, joining thousands of Texans who moved to the Dallas–Fort Worth area during a period of rapid economic growth. With a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Social Work, she entered public service at a time when Texas was expanding its social support systems for aging and disabled populations.

Serving Vulnerable Texans for Nearly Three Decades
For 28 years, McCleveland worked for the State of Texas as an investigator with Adult Protective Services. Based in North Texas, her work focused on protecting elderly and disabled residents across a region experiencing both population growth and rising social challenges. Her role placed her at the intersection of family, government, and community accountability, reinforcing the importance of public institutions in safeguarding vulnerable Texans.
Reinventing a Career in a Changing Dallas Housing Market
After retiring from state service, McCleveland pursued a new professional direction. In July 2025, at age 62, she earned her Texas real estate license. Her entry into real estate coincides with ongoing shifts in the Dallas–Fort Worth housing market, where affordability, relocation, and homeownership remain major concerns for working families, seniors, and first-time buyers. She approaches real estate as another form of service, helping clients navigate complex decisions in a competitive market.
Experience, Resilience, and Community Perspective
McCleveland’s life experience includes divorce, widowhood, raising three children as a single mother, health challenges, and personal loss. Within the context of Texas communities where women often balance family, work, and economic pressure, she emphasizes that personal circumstances do not have to define one’s future. She views her experiences as preparation to guide and encourage others, particularly women, who are reconsidering their professional paths later in life.
